SILVERHOOK White Grease – Water Repellent – 500g Tub

Silverhook White grease is a premium quality, water resistant grease for use in industrial and marine applications where the presence of water and humid atmospheres can affect lubricating performance and be detrimental to the protection of parts from corrosion. Will protect against salt, acid, and chemicals, and has good sealing properties. It is further enhanced with a special additive which provides additional protection and lubrication in areas where excessive levels of water are prevalent such as water pumping equipment. Its suitable for plain and anti-friction bearings.

Silverhook White Grease can be applied manually, or by using a standard grease gun, or via a central lubricating system designed for and capable of pumping an NLGI No.2 grease. As with all greases used for the first time, check compatibility with the grease applied previously and if necessary purge bearings prior to application. Likewise, as a general rule, take care not to over-lubricate and apply the quantity of grease recommended by the bearing manufacturer.

PLEASE NOTE. All marine grease of this type has a small amount of zinc oxide, which in its unbound state is harmful to aquatic life. When used in grease this is held in suspension, and being waterproof has little or no impact on the marine environment.
