Würth QUATTRO Paint Spray is a professional satin-finished, thick-coat lacquer aerosol combining corrosion protection, priming and decorative finishing properties. Developed for excellent coverage, strong adhesion and rapid drying, its alkyd resin formulation produces a durable silk-gloss finish with good resistance to shocks and impacts. Suitable for compatible indoor and outdoor applications, QUATTRO is available in 16 RAL colours and is ideal for machinery, metalwork, vehicles, agricultural equipment and industrial maintenance.
Professional 3-in-1 Corrosion Protection, Primer & Lacquer
Würth QUATTRO Paint Spray is a versatile professional coating designed to protect, prime and finish compatible surfaces using one convenient aerosol product.
Its thick-coat formulation provides excellent covering power and good edge coverage, helping achieve a smooth, even satin finish on properly prepared substrates.
QUATTRO combines effective corrosion protection with strong adhesion and high elasticity, making it particularly suitable for workshop maintenance, machinery refurbishment, metal fabrication and general industrial painting.
The manufacturer identifies good weathering and UV resistance, together with high elasticity and resistance to shocks and impacts.
Würth reports that no surface rust was detected after a minimum of 500 hours of salt spray testing under the manufacturer’s test conditions. Actual corrosion resistance depends on surface preparation, coating thickness and service conditions.
QUATTRO can also be applied to suitably prepared surfaces with residual rust, provided loose rust and poorly adhering coatings are removed beforehand.

Compatible Substrates: Hardened existing paint, factory-primed parts, bare sheet steel, zinc-plated steel, manually de-rusted surfaces, aluminium, paintable plastics, GFRP and wood.

Application & Instructions
For best results, follow the manufacturer’s preparation, temperature and spraying recommendations.
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure the substrate is clean, dry and free from grease. Remove loose rust, flaking paint and poorly adhering coatings.
- Check Conditions: For best results, work at an ambient temperature between approximately 10°C and 25°C, with relative humidity no higher than 60%.
- Condition the Can: Allow the aerosol to reach approximately 20–25°C before application.
- Shake Thoroughly: Shake the can well for at least 2 minutes before spraying.
- Test Spray: Apply a small amount to an inconspicuous area to check colour accuracy, adhesion and substrate compatibility.
- Apply Thin Coats: Spray from approximately 15–25cm using a smooth back-and-forth motion.
- Observe Coat Intervals: Apply several thin layers, allowing approximately 3–5 minutes between coats.
- Build the Coating: Apply sufficient coats to achieve the required finish and the manufacturer’s recommended dry film thickness, where applicable.
- Allow to Dry: Observe the specified drying and handling times before further processing or returning the coated item to service.
Important: Avoid excessive application or heavy wet coats. The product is designed to provide good coverage without running when correctly applied.

Overcoating & Finishing
Würth QUATTRO provides a satin-finish lacquer coating and can be overpainted with many commercially available paint systems, subject to compatibility testing.
The manufacturer also describes an optional gloss-effect spray application after approximately 15 minutes of flash-off time, which can increase the gloss level and improve resistance to petrol when used as specified.
Always check the relevant overcoating instructions and carry out a compatibility test before applying additional products.
