    Compatible Substrates: Hardened existing paint, factory-primed parts, bare steel, zinc-plated steel, manually de-rusted surfaces, aluminium, paintable plastics, GFRP and wood.

    Application & Instructions

    1. Prepare: Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from grease. Remove loose rust and poorly adhering paint.
    2. Condition the Can: Allow the aerosol to reach approximately 20–25°C before application.
    3. Shake: Shake thoroughly for at least 2 minutes before use.
    4. Test Spray: Check colour, adhesion and compatibility on an inconspicuous area.
    5. Apply: Spray evenly from approximately 15–25cm using controlled overlapping passes.
    6. Build the Coating: On suitable unprimed or previously painted surfaces, apply an initial pass, allow it to begin drying and then build the coating evenly.
    7. Film Thickness: Follow the manufacturer’s recommended minimum dry film thickness of 60µm where applicable.
    8. Drying: Observe the specified flash-off, drying and handling times before further processing.

    Important: Avoid excessive application and heavy wet coats. Follow the current Würth technical instructions and carry out compatibility testing before full application.

    Overcoating & Finishing

    Würth QUATTRO provides a satin / silk-gloss finish and can be overpainted with many commercially available paint systems, subject to compatibility testing.

    For applications requiring a higher gloss level, Würth describes the use of a compatible gloss-effect spray after approximately 15 minutes of flash-off time. Follow the relevant manufacturer instructions before overcoating.
